He fell off his motorbike after losing control in the middle of a busy section of Sunset Boulevard on Thursday.

And the following afternoon, David Beckham appeared to be showing signs of the recent spill as he sported a large bandage on his right arm whilst taking his children to a departing flight.

The 39-year-old carried three-year-old daughter Harper as sons Romeo, 11, and Cruz, nine, followed closely behind at the Los Angeles International Airport.

The family was surely on their way to see Victoria Beckham who is currently in England.

Beckham wore a dark blue T-shirt and black trousers as he stayed comfortable in black and white trainers.

Strapped to his back was rucksack as he carried his youngest, who was wearing a light blue dress as her hair was tied into pigtails

Romeo, meanwhile, looked the spitting image of his father in a button down shirt, aviator sunglasses and bright pink trainers.

His younger brother Cruz opted for an Adidas tracksuit and a long silver chain with dog tags as he held the former footballer’s hand.

The previous day, the father-of-four escaped mostly unharmed from his crash, which came as he left the Shamrock Tattoo parlour in West Hollywood – and his bandage could very well be the result of a new inking rather than an injury.

Beckham was riding his Super Vintage 93′ Knuckle, and enlisted the help of store staff to push his bike there while he sought assistance, according to TMZ.

It is not known if Beckham was extending his extensive collection of tattoos at the time, although the studio is responsible for some of his previous inkings.

The British soccer star is a well-know biking enthusiast and is often spotted nipping around Los Angeles on his custom-built vehicle.

n June, Becks opened up about his love of the open road in his 90-minute BBC documentary, which saw him riding through Brazil’s Amazon rainforest with three of his best mates.

He told former Monty Python comedian and adventurer Michael Palin: ‘I retired 12 months ago and my whole life, my whole career has been about having a particular schedule that I’ve always kept to, so we just wanted to be able to jump on the bikes and do what we wanted, wherever we wanted.

‘I wanted to do something that we would all enjoy – I’m a big motorbike rider and so are two of my three friends that came with me on this trip. It was the kind of journey that had no schedule.’

While Beckham and wife Victoria have moved their family back to Britain they still maintain their former home in Los Angeles.

They are currently coming to the end of an extended summer break in the city with sons Brooklyn, 15, Romeo, 11, and Cruz, nine, as well as two-year-old daughter Harper.

Victoria has already returned home to London to oversee the opening of her new flagship store on Dover Street.
