By on August 2, 2014

The recent outbreak of Ebola across West Africa has prompted the Ghanaian government to ban flights from 4 countries.

The countries blacklisted are Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria and Sierra Leone.

Charles Asare, Managing Director of the Ghana Airport Company, said the measure was part of a set of emergency management plans officials are rolling out to combat the spread of the virus.

The Ghanaian government has also implemented strict restrictions on the movement and management of Liberian refugees in camps in the country.
